Delete a file for good: it leaves your library and its URL stops working. Pass asset_id or the file's url. Free; the credits it cost are not refunded.

Can I undo a delete?
No. The file is removed from storage and its link stops working for good, so download anything you want to keep first.
Do I get my credits back?
No. delete_asset is free, but the credits a file cost are not refunded: it was already made and delivered.
